If you’re looking for a permanent solution to replace missing teeth, then look no further. Dental implants are the gold standard for completing your smile because they look and feel just like your natural teeth. Unlike other alternatives, dental implants are fixed to your jaw, so you won’t have to worry about them moving around in your mouth when you speak or eat.
Dentures are an affordable way to complete your smile without the need for a procedure. Whether you need to replace a full arch of teeth or only a few, dentures are an effortless way to bridge the gap of missing teeth. Within just a few appointments, we can restore the function and beauty of your smile.
Restoring your smile can make you feel confident and complete. The best candidates for dental implants are seeking a permanent solution for missing teeth. In order to be considered for the procedure, you’ll need to have overall good oral health and sufficient bone density. There are ways that Dr. Saluja may be able to restore your oral health so that you can be eligible for the procedure.
If you’re interested in restoring your smile, schedule a consultation with Dr. Saluja by calling (248) 206-5052. During the consultation, Dr. Saluja will review your oral health and create a customized treatment plan based on your needs and smile goals. So when your restoration is complete, you’ll have more than a smile you can count on.
In addition to following any guidelines recommended by Dr. Saluja, you’ll want to eat soft, cool foods for the first 24 hours such as Jell-O, protein shakes, yogurt, and ice cream. You should chew on the opposite side of your mouth to avoid the extraction site.
After the first day, you can start to incorporate other foods back into your diet as you tolerate them. It’s important to avoid alcohol, tobacco, and brushing the site for the first 72 hours.
If you need to have tooth extractions, you’ll have to wait six to eight weeks for your gums to heal before we can make an impression of your mouth. This will ensure that your dentures are a proper fit. While you’re waiting for your permanent dentures, we offer immediate dentures so you won’t miss a day without your smile.
If you don’t need any extractions, you’ll only have to wait a few days for the lab to create your dentures before you’ll be fitted for them. Once they arrive, Dr. Saluja will check that they fit, are functional, and aesthetically pleasing. If it’s necessary, the dentures will be sent to the lab for any final adjustments and you’ll receive them in a few days.
If you damage your dentures, contact us right away by calling (248) 206-5052. We’ll send your dentures to the lab for repair or advise you to get a replacement if it’s necessary. It’s important to avoid trying to fix them yourself because this could further damage the prosthetic.
Even though dental implants will restore your smile back to its natural function, they’re considered a cosmetic procedure and insurance usually doesn’t cover it. If you have any specific questions about your insurance coverage, we suggest calling your provider to get a better understanding of your benefits.
If there are any questions we can answer about your insurance and tooth replacement options, let us know by calling (248) 206-5052. One of our knowledgeable team members will be happy to help.
