ORAL CONsCIOUS SEDATION

Art Dentistry Center offers oral conscious sedation to help anxious patients relax during treatment. Taken as a pill prior to the procedure, this option can be used as either a mild or moderate sedative. With mild sedation levels, patients feel drowsy. With moderate sedation levels, patients may even feel so relaxed that they fall into a light sleep.

LAUGHING GAS

Laughing gas, or inhalation sedation, is a form of light sedation that is typically offered to young patients or those with mild anxiety in the dental chair. Laughing gas, also known as nitrous oxide, is a colorless, odor-free gas that is administered through a comfortable breathing mask.

Drs. Ayesha and Raman Saluja control the amount of gas throughout your appointment or procedure to ensure maximum safety and comfort. With this form of sedation, you can expect to be fully relaxed while still fully awake and able to follow instructions.

IV SEDATION

Intravenous (IV) sedation, also known as sleep dentistry, is offered to patients with extreme dental anxiety, those who may have special healthcare needs, or those who are set to undergo oral surgery or long treatment.

With IV sedation, the patient is not put fully to sleep. Instead, an anti-anxiety medication is administered directly into the veins to help promote optimal relaxation. Most patients experience relaxation and temporary memory loss, and our doctors will adjust the medication as needed during treatment to maximize your comfort and safety.
