The first time you visit us, we will discuss your health history, past dental experiences, and any anxieties you may have about receiving dental care. We Don't Rush Your Care

We ask all of our new patients to please reserve approximately 90 minutes for their first visit with us. Our friendly and helpful front desk team will welcome you and help you complete any remaining paperwork. When you’re ready for your appointment, your dental hygienist will help you get comfortable in the dentist's chair and take time to know your needs, experiences, and goals related to dental care.

Your health-focused dental exam will include taking your blood pressure and a set of x-rays to provide a comprehensive view of your entire mouth, including the jawbones and the roots of your teeth.

If your gums have no swelling or deep pockets, we will continue with a preventive cleaning, show you the findings from our high-resolution intraoral camera and determine whether you need any type of restorative treatment.

Our treatment plan coordinator will walk you through every step of your customized treatment plan to ensure there are no surprises. We're also happy to offer financial guidance on the best ways to afford your dental treatment!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I prepare for my first dentist appointment?

It’s recommended that you arrive at your dental appointment 15 minutes early before seeing the dentist. That way, you’ll have plenty of time to fill out any necessary paperwork such as your dental history, insurance information, and more. The team at the front desk can help you by answering any questions you may have about your initial appointment.

What can my dentist do to boost my smile’s overall health?

Dentists can improve your smile’s health with restorative and cosmetic procedures. These treatments are designed to address issues with your teeth’s look and overall functionality. Preventative care visits can also ensure you’re not at risk of developing certain issues such as gum disease and cavities.

How long will my initial appointment take with my new dentist?

Your initial appointment should take around 90 minutes to complete. Your dentist will start by reviewing your dental needs, experiences, and goals, as well as take scans of your jawbone and teeth. You’ll also receive a periodontal exam and a preventative cleaning to remove harmful bacteria from your teeth. By the end of your visit, your dentist will have a custom treatment plan ready and also provide financial assistance so that you’ll be able to achieve a healthier smile.

Can dentists help address all my dental concerns?

Yes! Your dentist will evaluate your smile and study your medical history to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that’s customized to fit your dental needs. On top of that, your dentist can answer any questions and address your concerns to help improve your in-office experience.
